RSAS - ROBOTIC SORTING & ASSEMBLY SYSTEM

The RSAS is a Robotic Sorting and Assembly System, which uses two integrated vision cameras to identify and pick parts passing on a feed conveyor. The first camera identifies parts within range for picking by a robot gripping tool. The second camera defines and facilitates the target destination for those parts. The standard machine comes with the robot, custom built end effector, vision lighting, conveyor tracking encoders, feed parts recirculation system, product conveyor, and all robot and vision software. The system has a repeatability of 0.004 inches, and is capable of up to 150 pick-and-place motions per minute. The robot end effector moves within a 44-inch diameter, with 10 inchds of vertical travel. It can hold a 4.4-pound payload and can be paired with multiple robots in a work cell.
